Following the launch of Intel’s socket X299, EKWB has released a new monoblock for five Gigabyte motherboards: the X299 Aorus Gaming 3, the X299 Aorus Gaming 7, the X299 Aorus Gaming 9, the X299 Aorus Ultra Gaming and the X299 UD4. This is the first X299 monoblock available and it will apparently add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block. The EK-FB GA X299 Gaming RGB Monoblock is compatible with Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion, which will allow you to create neat looking setups thanks to customizable lighting.
EK’s latest monoblock comes with only one inlet and one outlet, which helps keeping your loop clean. If you were to cool your setup with a separate block for the CPU and the VRM that would mean you’d have twice the number of connectors and more tubes ending in a less clean build. The base of the monoblock is made from nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while the top is made from acrylic glass.
The monoblock is equipped with a 4-pin RGB LED strip that can be connected to the motherboard’s 4-pin LED header or it can be connected to any other 4-pin LED controller. The LED strip can be adjusted easily or it can be exchanged with a custom LED strip. This new monoblock has been designed in cooperation with Gigabyte and features the EK-Supremacy EVO water block architecture, sitting on top of the CPU.
The price of the EK-FB GA X299 Gaming RGB Monoblock is set to 119.95€ and it should already be available in the EK Webshop as well as in EK’s official reseller network.
