Samsung has expanded its curved gaming monitor lineup once again. Like the previous model, the CFG73 features 144Hz refresh rate and is therefore perfect for first person shooter games. For better color reproduction the panel features Samsung’s proprietary Quantum Dot technology.
The displays is equipped with a high-quality VA panel and Quantum Dot technology. The panel has a moving picture response time (MPST) of 1ms. The refresh rate is set to 144Hz, however there isn't support for AMD’s FreeSync or NVIDIA G-Sync technologies. The Quantum Dot technology allows for 125% sRGB color space coverage. The Quantum Dot technology is able to convert blue LED light into highly saturated primary colours. On top of that Quantum Dot also allows for higher brightness.
Samsung's CFG73 monitors are going to be available with a 23.5-inch featuring 1800R curvature. The only downside of this display is the resolution it only supports 1080p. On the connector side of things we find two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort connector.
The CFG73 QLED gaming monitor will be part of Playerunkown's Battlegrounds tournament at the upcoming Gamescom 2017, that will take place in Cologne next week.
