AMD has released a list of Ryzen compatible DDR4 memory kits that have been tested at rated speeds with Ryzen CPUs at D.O.C.P. settings. According to AMD, some of these kits will require the the BIOS to be updated so the latest AGESA 1.0.0.6 microcode is in place.
According to the DDR4 memory compatibility list, the kits tested feature clock speeds ranging from 2133MHz to 3200MHz. Included is a wide list of manufacturers such as G.Skill, Corsair, GEIL, ADATA and HyperX. All of the kits in the list have been tested with AMD's latest Ryzen CPUs.
Reading reviews you might have noticed that AMD Ryzen can also benefit on the performance side, when combined with faster DDR4 memory. We’ve actually conducted in-depth testing on this subject and published an article on this matter just yesterday:
AGESA 1.0.0.6 Update tested - DDR4-3200 easy. Unfortunately the performance gains come at the cost of significantly higher power consumption. Nevertheless as a customer it’s a great thing to see AMD working on memory compatibility.
