EK Water Blocks have shown their upcoming ASUS ROG Maximus IX APEX monoblock that will take care of both motherboard VRM and CPU water cooling thanks to a huge single water block. Since the ASUS ROG Maximus IX APEX is a high-end E-ATX motherboard, it is quite predictable that this motherboard could be part of some water cooling project.
EK’s latest monoblock comes with only one inlet and one outlet, which helps keeping your loop clean. If you were to cool your setup with a separate block for the CPU and the VRM that would mean you’d have twice the number of connectors and more tubes ending in a less clean build. The base of the monoblock is made from nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while the top is available in acrylic glass.
This new monoblock has been designed in cooperation with ASUS and features the EK-Supremacy EVO water block, sitting on top of the CPU. The price of the EK-FB ASUS M9A Monoblock is set to 119.95€ and it should already be available in the EK Webshop and also at the official reselling partners.
