Just a few days ago Galax presented their new flagship graphics card in the shape of the GTX 1080 Ti HOF (Hall of Fame). It looks like it’s been time for the company to also show a more “affordable” version of the GTX 1080 Ti, by launching the GTX 1080 Ti EXOC White.
This particular card features a semi-custom design, meaning there is a reference PCB, which has been combined with a custom cooler. In the case of the cooler Galax is making use of a dual-fan model, featuring the usual, densely packed fin stack as well as several heatpipes. Apart from that the heatsinks shroud received a white paint job and so does the backplate, which is apparently on the cards flip-side. The fans measure 90mm in diameter and there are five heatpipes, which are 6mm thick. Suiting the color scheme there is white illumination on board.
Checking the specs Galax decided to ship the GTX 1080 Ti EXOC White factory-overclock to 1531/1645MHz core/boost clocks. Comparing that to NVIDIA’s reference speeds, which are 1480/1582MHz, the new Galax card is noticeably quicker. In the case of the connectors there are three DisplayPort and one HDMI outlet.
Checking Geizhals we don’t see the Galax GeForce GTX 1080 Ti EXOC White Edition listed. Nevertheless there is the KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 Ti EXOC for 789 Euro, which is almost the same card be with a different color scheme. Therefore we’d expect the pricing of the white model to be very similar. In Europe Galaxy will sell the identical card but under the KFA2 brand.
