During the past weeks we have seen several prices for AMD’s Ryzen already. This time a Belgian online shop has decided to start listing some of the upcoming AMD Ryzen processors including the 21% VAT that are usual in Belgium.
So far Centralpoint.be has three different offerings in its shop but it looks like those are only two different SKUs. Between two of the three the price difference is very small, which could implicate that AMD might offer boxed versions that ship with a cooler included.
Although we don't yet know the real world performance of the new AMD Ryzen CPUs, the prices are still interesting and promising. For example the AMD Ryzen 7 1700X is listed for 471 Euro (495 Euro with CPU cooler), while the AMD Ryzen 7 1800X is listed for 604 Euro (628 Euro with CPU Cooler). At the moment the Intel Core i7-6900K can be found on Geizhals for 1099 Euro, while the Core i7-5960X still costs 1029 Euro.
According to latest rumors, AMD might want to bundle the Ryzen 7 1800X and the Ryzen 7 1700X with a high-end cooler which goes by the name "HS81", while the Ryzen 7 1700 chip should come with the so called "HS65" CPU cooler. Since there are several "Black Edition" CPUs with Extended Frequency Range (XFR) technology enabled, AMD could bundle the larger cooler with these CPUs. XFR automatically overclocks Ryzen processors, allowing it them to exceed the default Turbo clock speed.
