Shortly after Zotac has announced the GeForce GTX 1070 Mini, another GPU with smaller-than-usual dimensions is going to be shown. This time it’s the fully fledged GTX 1080, which is apparently based on the GP104 GPU.


The GeForce GTX 1080 Mini features a compact PCB which measures about 20 centimeters in length. According to Zotac, this model is perfect for mini-ITX and SFF systems. The cooler is made from aluminum with three thick copper heatpipes. The air is pushed through the cooler from two 80mm fans. Checking the clock speeds we find reference frequencies in order to keep the heat and the power at a reasonable level. Like the Founders Edition, this card also comes with three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Mini should hit the market very soon and it’s quite likely that we will see it showcased at CES 2017, which is going to open it’s doors this week. So far Zotac has not revealed any details on pricing but since this card features a heavily reworked design, we believe it will not be cheap.
