Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 to support 28W of power

Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology has been around for quite some time offering impressive boost in smartphone charging but it appears that the Quick Charge 4.0 will boost those even further.

According to details, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 will be able to provide 28W and 5.6A of power, which should bring even faster recharge time for smartphone that support it. The technology will roll out with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 830 SoC.

The current Quick Charge 3.0 technology is already impressive, providing up to 71 percent charge in just half an hour.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 SoC is scheduled to launch in Q1 2017 so we expect to see some of the first smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2017 in February next year.
