AMD has now officially unveiled its new Radeon Pro WX workstation graphics card lineup with three new graphics cards, the Radeon Pro WX4100, Radeon Pro WX 5100 and the Radeon Pro WX7100, all based on AMD's Polaris 10 GPU.
The lineup starts with the Radeon Pro WX 4100, a low-profile workstation graphics card packing 1024 Stream Processors, 64 TMUs and 16 ROPs. It works at 1.17GHz GPU Boost clock and comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface. It also comes with four display outputs an dis capable of driving four 4K or single 5K display at 60Hz.
AMD claims that this is "the fastest low-profile workstation graphics GPU" and with the peak compute performance of 2.46 TFLOPs, it should bring decent performance boost to small form factor (SFF) workstations.
The Radeon Pro WX 5100 provides 3.9TFLOPs of compute performance and although it is based on the same Polaris 10 GPU, it comes with 1792 Stream Processors, 8GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory interface and uses standard full-height design.
Meant for real time content engines as well as software like CAD and CAM, the Radeon Pro WX 5100 will come with four full-sized DisplayPort outputs.
The flagship offer is the Radeon Pro WX 7100, offering 5.7 TFLOPs of compute performance but still retains the single-slot design. Also based on the same Polaris 10 GPU as the rest of the lineup, the Radeon Pro WX 7100 packs 2304 Stream Processors and comes with 8GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface.
The Radeon Pro WX 7100 is built for demanding design and manufacturing as well as media and entertainment workflows, including virtual reality, according to AMD.
In addition to the new Radeon Pro WX series lineup, AMD has also announced that these will use the new Radeon Pro Software Enterprise drivers, which will be getting monthly updates and offer exceptional stability.
All three new Radeon Pro WX series workstation graphics cards will be available sometime this month with a price set at US $399 for the WX 4100, US $499 for the WX 5100 and US $799 for the WX 7100.
