Futuremark has announced its newest VRMark virtual reality benchmark which will allow users to test if their system is VR ready and if it meets the performance requirements of currently popular VR headset.
The Futuremark VRMark includes two different benchmarks, the Orange Room, which is available for free and which tests if the system meets the performance requirements for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets, and the Blue Room, a benchmark available in US $19.99 priced Advanced Edition, which is designed for high-end systems and has more detailed results.
The Advanced Edition also allows users to get detailed results and hardware monitoring charts as well as adds the Experience mode, which allows the exploration of both the Orange Room and Blue Room and includes some customization options.
Futuremark was keen to note that the VRMark does not actually need a VR headset and can be run on your monitor as well as in HMD mode when the VR headset is connected.
As noted, the VRMark is available as a free Basic Edition and as an Advanced Edition, priced at US $19.99.
