AMD has now officially cuts the price of its Radeon RX 470 4GB and Radeon RX 460 graphics cards by US $10 in order to position them better against Nvidia's recently launched GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards.

According to AMD's own slides published by Techpowerup.com, both the Radeon RX 470 and RX 460 are better when compared to Nvidia's mid-range GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards.

The Radeon RX 470 should provide higher performance at 1080p with anti-aliasing enabled and since it has asynchronous compute and should provide better performance in games that support it, while the RX 460 should have no problem in competing with GTX 1050 in entry-level market.

As it has dropped the price of the Radeon RX 470 4GB from US $169.99 down to US $159.99, making it US $20 more expensive than the GTX 1050 Ti, the Radeon RX 470 4GB should offer both higher memory bandwidth and higher general performance.

Priced at US $99.99, the Radeon RX 460 2GB, which launched at US $109.99, is now $10 cheaper than the GTX 1050, which should give AMD further breathing room in the entry-level market.
