Samsung pulls the plug on Galaxy Note 7

Files statement with South Korean stock exchange

According to the latest information, it appears that Samsung has decided to permanently end all production of the Galaxy Note 7.

According to a report coming from the New York Times, citing anonymous source, Samsung has filed a statement with the South Korean stock exchange with a final decision to cease all production of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphone.

The choice to completely cease all production and no longer try to fix the problem will be a big blow to Samsung and it also suggests that the phone has a lot bigger problems than just a battery.

This will also give Apple a lot more room to sell its new iPhone smartphones and will probably push Samsung to come up with a new smartphone earlier than expected.
