MSI has released a new version of its Afterburner graphics card monitoring and overclocking software, version 4.3.0 Beta 14, which brings a couple of new features as well as full support for both AMD's latest RX 400 series and Nvidia GTX 10 series graphics cards.
The main feature is the DirectX 12 overlay support which allows users to monitor data in DirectX 12 games, including CPU and GPU temperatures, as well as framerate and memory usage.
Since this version of Afterburner is in beta phase, the DirectX 12 overlay feature might not work in all the games but some of the more popular titles, like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hitman and Total War Warhammer, work like a charm.
In addition to the DirectX 12 overlay support, the new MSI Afterburner 4.3.0 Beta 14 also brings full support for AMD's Polaris-based RX 400 series graphics cards as well as Nvidia's Pascal-based Geforce GTX 10 series graphics cards.
The more stable DirectX 12 overlay support should be available with a non-beta, official release of the next Afterburner version so hopefully, we won't wait too long for it.
