Colorful is showing yet another motherboard, although the company is mostly known for their graphics cards with insane multi-slot coolers. Their iGame Z170 motherboard features a top cover and the overall design looks similar to the ASUS Maximus VIII Formula.
With the iGame Z170 being based on the Intel Z170 Express chipset, this board has been equipped with a LGA1151 socket, supporting 6th generation Intel Core processors also known as Skylake. Colorful is using a 14 phase power design on this model, which is definitely more than enough for operating any CPU at stock as well as heavily overclocked. Apart from that there is also quite some flexibility on the storage side of things, since there is a M.2 slot and 16 Gbps SATA Express. In terms of external I/O there are USB 3.1 Type-A as well as Type-C ports and two LAN interfaces.
Almost standard these days it the possibility for custom LED lighting. What you also find on any higher-end board is tweaked onboard sound and in this case the solution goes by the name Gamer Voice.
Unfortunately we don’t have any information on pricing just yet. If we were to guess we would say this board will cost between 170 and 220€.
