Huawei has published its financial report for the first half of 2016, showing a 40 percent increase in revenue compared to the same period last year. The company is obviously growing significantly, which is do to their successful smartphone business.
In the first six months of 2016 Huawei managed to achieve 245.5 Billion Yuan, which translates into $36.825 Billion. During the same period last year revenue was at 175.9 Billion Yuan, resulting in a 40 percent growth. Compared to last the margin went down from 18 to 12 percent. According to the companies spokes person strategic investments had a negative impact on the margin.
Meanwhile Huawei is the number 3 in the smartphone business world wide, ranking behind Samsung and Apple. Apart from that Sabrina Meng, Chief Financial Officer at Huawei is mentioning that the company is looking forward to achieve a positive financial result by the end of this year.
