OCZ brought its entire new Toshiba-OCZ branded SSD lineup to Computex 2016 show, showing both the VT180, TR150 and the recently launched high-end RD400 series SSDs.
While we already
covered the OCZ RD400, which also
did quite well in our review, the TR150 series and VT180 series SDDs are a bit less known and are actually a part of the new Toshiba-OCZ branded SSD offer, although both are practically Vector 180 and Trion 150 drives with new names.
The Toshiba-OCZ VT180 will still be available in capacities ranging from 120GB to 960GB and offer sequential transfer performance of up to 550MB/s for read and up to 530MB/s for write with random 4K performance reaching 96K IOPS for read and 90K IOPS for write. The VT180 is still based on on Toshiba A19nm MLC NAND and OCZ's Barefoot 3 M00 controller.
The Toshiba-OCZ TR150 is a bit more value oriented SSD and just like the Trion 150, it will be available in the same 120GB to 960GB capacities. It is based on Toshiba TC58 controller and Toshiba 15nm TLC NAND and offers sequential performance reaching 550MB/s for read and up to 530MB/s for write. Random 4K performance is set at up to 90K IOPS for read and up to 64K IOPS for write, depending on the version.
Toshiba and OCZ were also keen to note that all SSDs will retain OCZ's well known Advanced Warranty.
