MSI launches two new Intel C232-based motherboards

The E3 Krait Gaming V5 and the E3M Workstation V5

MSI has unveiled two new Intel C232-based motherboards, the E3 Krait Gaming V5 and the E3M Workstation V5, both which are compatible with Intel Xeon E3-1200 v5 CPUs and support ECC DDR4 RAM.

As these are more consumer-oriented motherboards, rather than workstation-class, MSI has also equipped both of them with some consumer-oriented features, making them suitable for gaming systems.

The E3 Krait Gaming V5 motherboard uses a black and white color scheme and comes with two M.2 slots, one of which is a 32Gbps PCIe slot for SSDs while other is ready for an optional WiFi Bluetooth module. It also comes with a USB 3.1 Type-C port as well as some MSI exclusive features like the DDR4 Boost and the Audio Boost integrated audio.

The E3M Workstation V5 is a micro-ATX form-factor motherboard and has a slightly advanced PCB design as well as some other features like the SATA RAID and Intel Smart Response, Rapid Start & Smart Connect Technologies. It also comes with a COM port, and MSI exclusive features like the DDR4 Boost, EZ DEBUG LED and Shortcut Manager.

The E3M Workstation V5 motherboard is also designed and optimized for Nvidia Quadro and AMD FirePro multi-GPU graphics cards configurations and features VGA Armor and optimal PCI-Express slot placement.

Unfortunately, MSI did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date for the two new Intel C232-based motherboards but we guess we will see them in retail/e-tail soon.
