Enermax unveils the new D.F. Pressure 120mm fan

Use reverse thrust to get rid of dust

Enermax has announced its newest 120mm high-pressure fans, the D.F. Pressure line, which features a patented system designed to get rid of the dust.

As you could have guessed, the D.F. in the name stands for "dust free" and the fans use patented DFR (Dust Free Rotation) technology that spins the fans in reverse at high RPM for 10 seconds on boot up in order to get rid of the dust.

According to details over at Enermax., this will both prolong the lifetime and extend system cleaning and maintenance time.

The new D.F Pressure 120mm fan can work in three modes, Ultra silence, Silence and Performance mode, thanks to its patented APS (Adjustable Peak Speed) control.

Specification wise, the fan measures at standard 120x120x25mm and can spin between 800rpm and 1000, 1500 or 2000rpm, depending on the mode. It pushes between 33.69 and 85.43 CFM of air while producing between 16 and 27 dBA of noise.

The MTBF is set at over 160,000 hours and it uses 4-pin connector.

Unfortunately, Enermax did not reveal any details regarding the price but did note that the D.F. Pressure fan should be available in May.
