AMD has released its latest Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.2 hotfix drivers, which brings a couple of game specific fixes, new Crossfire profiles as well full support for AMD XConnect technology.

According to the release notes, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.2 hotfix drivers have new and updated Crossfire profiles for Elite Dangerous and Need for Speed games. It also fixes several issues including Crossfire issues in The Division, DOTA 2, Hitman, Fallout 4, Steam VR Performance Test and some other DirectX 9 applications.

It is obvious that AMD is trying to fix Crossfire issues with many games and it is not a big surprise considering it is about to launch its flagship dual-GPU graphics card, the Radeon Pro Duo.

In addition to new Crossfire profiles and resolved issues with Crossfire, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.2 hotfix drivers also bring full support for AMD XConnect technology, which means that Thunderbolt 3 eGFX enclosures can now be configured with Radeon R9 Fury, Nano or Radeon 300 series graphics cards and provides plug'n'play support with integrated management interface.

As always, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.2 hotfix drivers are available for Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions and support all AMD graphics cards since Radeon HD 7700/HD 7900 series.
