G.Skill World Cup 2016 qualifier at Ocaholic

Racoon gets 7th place

Last weekend, Ocaholic was a host to one of the well known overclockers, Mike Buchroither, aka Racoon, for an overclocking session which was a part of G.Skill OC World Cup 2016 qualifier. In addition to a whole lot of LN2, Mike managed to get some rather neat scores.

Mike managed to get some rather neat scores during the overclocking session including hitting 2386MHz on G.Skill's Trident Z memory, 3385 marks on Intel HD Graphics 530 in 3D Mark 11 and 13245 marks in 3DMark Vantage on the same hardware.

The Core i7-6700K CPU was overclocked to around 5.5GHz in 3DMark 11 and around 5.8GHz in 3DMark Vantage benchmarks while Intel HD 530 IGP was running at 1750MHz for the GPU in both runs, which is an impressive score.

Both 3DMark benchmarks were running on trusted ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme while memory was overclocked on ASUS Maximus VIII Impact motherboard and Intel Core i3-6320 CPU. Both systems were powered by excellent Seasonic 1200W Platinum PSU.

All these scores were enough for Racoon to hold 7th place in G.Skill OC World Cup 2016 qualifier and ensure its place among some great overclockers. You can check out more details over at G.Skill's OC World Cup 2016 qualifier page or via link below.
