According to the latest report, Apple is apparently on board with AMD's upcoming Polaris GPU architecture and will use it in their upcoming notebook and desktop lineup.
There has been a lot of talk regarding AMD's upcoming Polaris GPU architecture made on 14nm FinFET manufacturing process. The most important fact is that it will offer significant power efficiency, something that Apple is allegedly interested in.
According to a report from Wccftech.com, citing sources close to the company, Apple will be using the upcoming Radeon 400 series 14nm FinFET GPUs, Polaris 10 and Polaris 11, with its upcoming MacBook and iMac systems.
While AMD has already managed to score both Nintendo's new NX console and Polaris GPU is also allegedly behind the upcoming Sony Playstation 4K console, the Apple might be the biggest win that the company needs in order to get some hard cash and become more competitive.
