Gigabyte has unveiled a new graphics card that will be a part of its Xtreme Gaming lineup, the GV-N960XTREME-4GD, which will feature a fully custom design, 4GB of VRAM and customizable RGB lighting.
Based on a completely custom design, the new Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB Xtreme Gaming graphics card will feature a hefty factory overclock hitting 1304MHz GPU base and 1367MHz GPU Boost clocks. This is a significant overclock from reference 1127MHz GPU base and 1178MHz GPU Boost clocks. The 4GB of GDDR5 memory, paired up with a 128-bit memory interface, will be working at reference 7010MHz.
Due to a high factory-overclock, the new Gigabyte GTX 960 Xtreme Gaming comes with a stronger VRM which draws power from 8-pin and 6-pin PCIe power connectors.
In case you missed it earlier, the Geforce GTX 960 is based on Nvidia's GM206 Maxwell GPU with 1024 CUDA cores, 64 TMUs and 32 ROPs.
Gigabyte equipped the new Geforce GTX 960 4GB Xtreme Gaming graphics card with its well-known Windforce 2X dual-fan cooler with three pure copper heatpipes and two 90mm alternate spinning fans and unique fan blades, which should increase airflow by up to 23 percent. The fans do not spin up in idle and low power gaming and it even comes with a LED fan indicator at the top of the graphics card.
Another unique feature, which is spreading all over hardware components is the custom RGB lighting, located on both the Gigabyte logo as well as fans.
