Dell has finally confirmed the specifications of its S2716DG gaming monitor that will have a 27-inch WQHD TN panel and support for G-Sync as well as revealed some details for its first 27-inch curved monitor, the Dell SE2716H.
The new Dell S2716DG will use a 27-inch 2560x1440 WQHD TN panel from AU Optronics with a 144Hz refresh rate, ranging from 30 to 144Hz with Nvidia G-Sync. The rest of the specifications include a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m2, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms response time, 160° vertical / 170° horizontal viewing angles as well as HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2 inputs and USB 3.0 hub.
It also comes with stand which allows tilt, height, swivel and pivot adjustments and has a built-in cable management.
In addition to the 27-inch G-Sync enabled S2716DG gaming monitor, Dell has also unveiled its first 27-inch monitor with curved panel, the SE2716H. Based on a curved 27-inch VA panel with 1920x1080 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 6ms response time and 178°/178° viewing angles, the new Dell SE2716H is more aimed at home and office usage rather than gaming.
It features two HDMI and one VGA input and has built in 9W stereo speakers.
The new 27-inch G-Sync Dell S2716DG gaming monitor is currently listed at Dell's website
with a price of US $799.99 while the 27-inch curved SE2716H
has a price of US $399.99.
