We have been waiting for ASUS' Z170-based white motherboard for quite some time and although we have seen some glimpses of the ASUS Sabertooth Z170 S, today we have a chance to check out all the details thanks to a couple of listings and a preview published online.
While this is not a Sabranco motherboard by name, it is clearly a member of that line with its white and grey camouflage color scheme. What makes it special is the fact that this is not a copy of ASUS' Z170 Sabertooth motherboard painted in white but rather a completely new motherboard.
Although it lacks the earlier introduced AURA series LEDs, which would simply ruin the nice looking white color scheme, it does come with pretty much any other feature that you would expect to see on a high-end Z170-based motherboard.
The feature list starts with TUF components, like TUF Detective 2 companion app, TUF Alloy Choke, TUF MOSFETs, TUF ICe and TUF 10K-Ti Caps, ASUS' Digi+ power control, support for quad SLI/Crossfire X, SATA Express and M.2 slots, USB 3.1 ports and more.
The only thing missing from the board is the U.2 port, which is already limited to higher-end motherboards, something that ASUS Z170-S certainly is not, at least not by price.
