Corsair has unveiled the newest member of its Carbide Series PC cases, the micro-ATX mini-tower Carbide 88R. With steel chassis combined with plastic and brushed aluminum-like inserts, the new Carbide 88R targets mainstream micro-ATX gaming crowd.
With dimensions set a 440x198x378mm,
the Corsair Carbide 88R is a rather large micro-ATX mini-tower PC case. Based on a classic design with bottom-placed PSU, the new Carbide 88R PC case supports micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards, up to 383mm long graphics cards, up to 150mm tall CPU cooler and 160mm long PSUs. Storage-wise, the Corsair Carbide 88R features a single 5.25-inch drive bay, two 3.5-inch and two 2.5-inch trays.
As far as cooling is concerned, the Carbide 88R supports two 120mm front intake fans, two 120mm top exhaust and single 120mm rear exhaust fan. This also means that it can support up to 240mm long liquid cooling radiators at both front and at the top.
The front-panel I/O features one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0 as well as standard HDA audio jacks.
According to Corsair, the Carbide 88R should be available soon with MSRP of US $49.99.
