Oculus Rift DK2 not ready for Windows 10 OS

Not yet supported

There is quite a surprise concerning Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset and Windows 10 as the Oculus Rift Developer Kit (DK2) actually does not support the new Microsoft Windows 10 OS.

According to an official announcement, the Windows 10 OS is not yet supported which is quite a surprise considering the recently announced partnership between Microsoft and Oculus.

While it might be possible that Oculus is focusing on the retail version of the Rift headset, the lack of support for the new Windows 10 OS is rather strange.

Oculus noted that its software team is currently working as quickly as possible to complete Windows 10 compatibility with SDK and Oculus Runtime and advises Oculus Rift DK2 users not to upgrade from previous versions of Windows until the SDK and Runtime are officially available.
