A few months ago EK Water Blocks already launched their Vardar series fans, which are named after a ravine wind, that is blowing through the Moravia-Vardar gap in Macedonia. In the beginning the company launched low RPM models and they're now adding high RPM fans to the portfolio.
Like the already available low RPM models, the EK-Vardar Fx-120 series fans feature seven fan blades and a design, which has been optimized towards high static pressure. Apart from that EK Water Blocks promises comparably low operating noise. A closer look at the mother reveals active cooling of its windings. Furthermore there is a double ball bearing with 50'000 hours MTBF and there is a 4-pin PWM fan header.
The EK-Vardar F4-120ER fans can regulate rotation speeds all the way from 25 percent to 100 percent. Actually ER is standing for "Extended Range". If we calculate minimum RPM we have 550 RPM as a result, which means that rotation speeds can vary between 550 and 2'200 RPM. In combination with the PWM fan headers this allows for a lot of flexibility. Furthermore the high quality bearings will allow for whisper quiet operation.
Checking prices we find these fans listed in the web shop from EK at a price of 16.95 Euro. If you want to have a look at all the specs just head over to the
