Logitech introduces G920 Driving Force racing wheel

For Xbox One and PC

Those playing the recently released Project CARS as well as those looking forward to Forza Motorsport 6 will be quite happy as Logitech has now finally unveiled its latest high-end racing wheel for Xbox One and PC, the Logitech G920 Driving Force.

To be available this fall, the new Logitech G920 Driving Force is built for precision racing and long-lasting reliability, according to Logitech. It will feature Logitech's dual-motor force feedback transmission with anit-backlash helical gearing, hand-stiched leater-wrapped rim as well as stainless steel throttle, brake, and clutch pedals.

The new Logitech G920 Driving Force racing wheel is also compatible with the optional Driving Force Shifter, a six-speed manual gear stick with push-down reverse. To make things interesting, the Logitech G920 Driving Force is actually the first racing wheel available for the Xbox One.

"The G920 is the wheel fans have been asking for on Xbox One," said Ujesh Desai, general manager of the Logitech gaming business. "We built on our history and legacy of previous generation driving wheels to deliver on a truly immersive experience for Xbox One gamers. I personally can't wait to get behind our new wheel to play Forza Motorsport 6."

The aforementioned dual-motor force feedback will realistically simulate the feel of weight shift, road conditions and tire wear as well as under- or over-steering, traction loss and more. Built to last, the Logitech G920 Driving Force will also use solid steel ball bearings in the wheel shaft, anodized aluminum spokes, and stainless steel paddle shifters and pedals while high-quality, hand-stitched leather will give it the look and feel of a high-performance race-car wheel.

Logitech has also designed the G29 Driving Force which will have the same specification but come with buttons dedicated for Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 but will also work on the PC.

According to Logitech, the G920 Driving Force is expected to be available at most retailers in the beginning of October 2015, with a suggested retail price of $399.99. The optional Driving Force Shifter will have a suggested retail price of US $59.99.
