ASUS announces its own Radeon R9 295X2 card

Reference all the way

Since today is the official launch day of the AMD Radeon R9 259X2, it does not come as a surprise that ASUS has also launched its own version, based on AMD's reference design, of course.

Featuring two 28nm Hawaii GPUs, the R9 295X2 packs 2816 Stream Processors, 176 TMUs, 64 ROPs and a 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface, per GPU. Most, if not all, AMD AIB partners will stick with reference clocks set at 1018MHz for the GPU and 5.0GHz for those 8GB of GDDR5 memory.

There is still no word when, or if we will ever see custom version of the R9 295X2, but for now ASUS will be quite happy to sell its own for suggested retail price of US $1,499.
