After a couple of earlier teasers, ASUS has now officially revealed some pictures as well as officially announced its Republic of Gamers Matrix R9 290X and the Matrix GTX 780 Ti graphics cards.
Unfortunately, other than a couple of pictures posted on ASUS' ROG site, we still lack a lot of details but those should be available shortly. According to what we can see from the pictures, both new graphics cards will be based on a custom PCB with 14-phase VRM, dual 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, backplate, overclocking-friendly features like the LN2 Mode Switch and the Matrix Memory Defroster, as well as a custom dual-slot cooler with five direct contact copper heatpipes connected to a black nickel-plated heatsink and cooled down by two fans, one of which is a CoolTech fan.
The rear connectivity options look the same on both the Matrix R9 290X and the Matrix GTX 780 Ti so we will see dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
We are expecting ASUS to unveil more details regarding the actual specifications of each card pretty soon and hopefully we will see them at CeBIT.
