MSI has announced its newest member of the Gaming series, the MSI GTX 780 Ti Gaming 3G graphics card that will be based on MSI's custom design with red/black Gaming color scheme, cooled by recognizable Twin Frozr IV Advanced cooler and featuring factory-overclock that takes the GK110 GPU up to 1085MHz GPU Boost clock.
In case you missed it earlier, the GTX 780 Ti is based on Nvidia's GK110 GPU and features 2880 CUDA cores as well as 3072MB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface. As noted earlier, MSI decided to equip the new GTX 780 Ti Gaming with its own custom design with Military Class 4 components as well as a quite famous Twin Frozr IV Advanced dual fan cooler equipped with MSI's Airflow Control technology. The cooler features two 10cm Propeller Blade Technology coolers, couple of heatpipes and much larger heatsink area when compared to the reference one.
Since it is a part of MSI's Gaming series, the new GTX 780 Ti Gaming also features a factory-overclock which puts the GPU at 1020MHz for the base clock and 1085MHz for the GPU Boost clock. The aforementioned 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory is clocked at 7000MHz. To be quite precise, the new MSI GTX 780 Ti Gaming 3G actually features three modes, OC Mode, Gaming Mode and Silent Mode, with three different base and Boost GPU clocks.
The OC Mode puts the GTX 780 Ti Gaming at 1020MHz base and 1085MHz Boost clocks, the Gaming mode takes it a notch lower at 980MHz base and 1046MHz Boost clock while in the Silent Mode it works at reference 876MHz base and 928MHz Boost GPU clocks. The GTX 780 Ti Gaming features two DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI outputs.
According to MSI, the GTX 780 Ti Gaming is eligible for Nvidia's Season bundle with Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist games.
Unfortunately, MSI did not shed any details regarding the availability date or the precise price of the new GTX 780 Ti Gaming 3G graphics card.
