MSI is certainly proud on its GTX 780 Lightning graphics card as it is now preparing yet another version, the MSI GTX 780 Lightning Lite Edition that will pack all the features from the previously released GTX 780 Lightning, including custom PCB and triple fan TriFrozr cooler, but come with lower clocks.
Unlike the original GTX 780 Lightning, which was clocked at 980MHz base and 1033MHz Boost GPU clocks, the Lite Edition GTX 780 GTX Lightning works at slightly lower 889MHz base and 941MHz Boost GPU clocks. Since it is still a part of MSI's Lightning Edition lineup, the new GTX 780 Lightning Lite Edition will also feature Military Class components, 10-layer custom PCB, GPU Reactor, triple fan TriFrozr cooler, Pure Digital PWM control with 16+3-phase design, Twin BIOS and all the bells and whistles seen on the original GTX 780 Lightning.
In case you missed it earlier, the GTX 780 packs 2304 CUDA cores, 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface and clocked at 6008MHz, as well as two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
Unfortunately, MSI did not shed any light on the actual release date or the price of the new GTX 780 Lightning Lite Edition.
