Just after we have seen the launch of its premium GTX 780, the iGame Kudan 780, Colorful has also unveiled the new iGame 780-3GD5 graphics card. As a part of Colorful's iGame family, the new iGame 780 packs high quality components, recognizable triple fan cooler as well as a decent factory overclock with additional overclocking potential.
Based on high quality components, including high quality IPP inductor and SPT (Silver Plating Technology), the new iGame 780 works at 1006MHz base clock while 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface works at 6008MHz. According to Colorful, the iGame 780 is 17 percent faster than the reference GTX 780. In case you missed the Nvidia GTX 780 earlier, it is based on Nvidia's GK110 GPU with 2304 CUDA cores, 192 Texture Units and 48 ROPs. The reference based GTX 780 is clocked at 863MHz for base and 900MHz for the Boost GPU clock.
According to Colorful, the iGame 780 is 17 percent faster than the reference GTX 780. Paired up with Colorful iGame series cooler with three 90mm fans and six heatpipes, which can, according to Colorful, efficiently reduce the heat even at 1.1GHz GPU clock. It also comes with a 2mm thick insulated steel plate that should prevent PCB bending. The rest of the features include 12+2-phase VRM with high quality IPP inductor, solid state capacitors and 8+8-pin PCI-Express power connectors for additional overclocking potential.
The new Colorful iGame GTX 780 features HDMI, DisplayPort and two DVI-D outputs. Unfortunately, Colorful did not share any details regarding the actual availability date or the price of the new iGame 780-3GD5 graphics card.
