Firmware Update for Samsung 840 Evo

Some minor glitches got eliminated

Samsung launched their SSD 840 Evo a bit more than one month ago and in our review it turned out to be a really quick drive, which is just perfect for endusers. Additionally there is a really attractive pricing and meanwhile the electronic giant holds a firmware update ready for download.

The latest revision of the firmware, EXT0BB0Q features optimizations regarding durability as well as issues with the internal memory interface. Additionally there were problems reported when the program PC Doctor tried to recognize the drive on certain systems. Samsung has also addressed these and now things seem to be working fine.

If you own a 840 Evo you can either download the Zip file hosted by Samsung and then install it using Samsung's Magician Software or you can put an ISO file on a bootable storage media.
