There has been a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming Radeon lineup from AMD and it is still not clear if the event will be a "launch party" or just the "tech-event" for the press to get a glimpse of what the upcoming Volcanic Islands family will have to offer. AMD's VP and General Manager of AMD's Graphics Business Unit, Matt Skynner recently shed some light on the upcoming Radeon series in its interview with Forbes, saying that AMD will not target the US $999 for the single-GPU solution and that many will be surprised by the upcoming Radeon lineup.
Recently 3DCenter.org revealed some rumors regarding the specifications of the flagship but, as always, these should be taken with a grain of salt as AMD is definitely doing a good job in keeping all the important details hidden. According to our latest info, AMD partners are pretty much held in the dark and it is not clear if they will be allowed to do custom versions from day one.
In any case, the real-time webcast will be available at AMD's investor relation page while the same webcast will be available on AMD's Youtube channel an hour later.
The event kicks off on September 25th at 3pm EDT, which is somewhere around 8pm in the UK or 9pm in others part of the Europe that check their time on UTC +01:00 time zone.
