Xbox One can do 4K/Ultra HD resolution

HDMI 1.4 support

During the unboxing video released earlier this week, Microsoft confirmed that Xbox One will support HDMI 1.4 port that will support 4K/Ultra HD resolution. The HDMI 1.4 brings 1080p, 3D and 4K support.

Although there are still no details on Microsoft's involvement with 4K content or will the console be able to upscale gaming or any content to 4K resolution but will be able to transmit full 4K/Ultra HD resolution to compatible displays via HDMI cable.

The 4K/Ultra HD is definitely a future and we are sure that much of IFA 2013, at least when it comes to display market, scheduled to kick off on 6th of September, will definitely be about 4K/Ultra HD and Microsoft's Xbox One will support it and be ready for it.

For now, 4K/Ultra HD is limited to those with quite deep pockets but as it was with 3D, the 4K/Ultra HD will get cheaper eventually.
