ASRock made quite some noise during Computex regarding the protective Conformal Coating layer that protects the Z87 OC Formula from a couple of accidents and has now announced that those two motherboards, the Z87 OC Formula/ac (with 802.11ac WiFi) and the Z87 OC Formula will be backed by a 5-year warranty.

Designed by the Nick Shih, who is quite famous in the overclocking community, the Z87 OC Formula and OC Formula/ac are both protected by hardware and software features for extreme overclocking and thanks to Conformal Coating it is protected from conductive liquids, dust, corrosion and even extreme temperatures.

The five year warranty means that as long as the malfunction and defects occur under normal conditions, ASRock will replace it with equivalent or next-generation product.

It does not sound much but it will surely differentiate the new ASRock motherboards from the rest of the competition.
