Galaxy is apparently planning to extend its Hall of Fame (HOF) line to motherboards as well and has unveiled the new socket LGA1150 Z87 HOF motherboard at Computex.
The unique feature, in addition to standard ones seen on most Z87-based motherboards, includes a four PCI-Express x16 3.0 ports, all working at electrical x16 thanks to two PEX8747 x48 bridge chips. It also features a 16-phase CPU VRM and needs two 8-pin EPS CPU connectors for it. Thanks to those bridge chips, the motherboard theoretically supports 4-way SLI and CrossfireX.
The rest of the features aren't bad either so you'll get four SATA 6Gbps ports, mSATA/mPCI one, eSATA port, DVI and HDMI outputs, 7.1-channel audio and Gigabit Ethernet. It also comes with some overclocking-friendly features including dual-BIOS, on-board buttons, UEFI BIOS, OC module and voltage measurement points.
Unfortunately, Galaxy did not reveal any precise launch or price details.
