Sandisk has announce a couple of new SSDs in its consumer as well as the OEM lineup including the new high-performance Sandisk Extreme II SSD.
The OEM lineup was updated with a couple of new SSD models as well as new form factors and includes the Sandisk U110 SSD, Sandisk iSSD i110 and the Sandisk X110 SSD mSATA. The U110 is a cost-effective solution that will be available in half-slim SATA, mSATA, mSATA mini, 2.5-inch case and M.2 form factors in order to accommodate a variety of computing device designs.
The Sandisk iSSD i110 is an integrated storage device and company's smallest SSD. With up to 128GB of storage space in a compact BGA form factor the new i110 is suited for everything from thin and light, convertible and Ultrabook form factors and will be available in 16x20mm and 12x16mm form factors.
The last but not the least OEM model is the Sandisk X110 SSD in mSATA form factor that will be available in 32, 64, 128 and 256GB capacities.
As noted, the consumer side is complemented with the new Sandisk Extreme II SSD, a successor of the quite decent Sandisk Extreme SSD. Built on a 19nm manufacturing process, the new Sandisk Extreme II delivers up to 550MB/s sequential read and up to 510MB/s sequential write transfer speeds with up to 95k IOPS random read and up to 78k IOPS of random write. Backed by a five-year limited warranty and qualified to deliver 80 TB written (TBW) of data, the new Sandisk Extreme II SSD will definitely earn its place among other manufacturers.
The new Sandisk Extreme II is currently shipping worldwide in 120, 240, and 480GB capacities with US $129.99, $229.99 and $439.99 MSRP, respectively.
