Google's Google I/O 2013 event might be the most interesting one so far as, in addition to new or updated version of the Android OS, Google apparently plans to introduce a couple of devices including, as analyst predict, the new Nexus 7.
There have been a lot of rumors regarding the new Nexus 7 and for now it is quite clear that Qualcomm managed to score a win here pushing Nvidia's Tegra out. According to a research report from KGI Securities, the new Nexus 7 could end up with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (APQ8064 chipset) as well as the new 7-inch 1920x1200 resolution screen with LTPS panel. It should run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and even retain the price of its predecessor, US $199 (8GB).
According to early details, it could also sport NFC support, HD front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear one, as well as 4000mAh battery with support for Qi wireless charging. Analyst expect that Google will still keep the US $199 price tag despite the fact that it lose between US $5 and $10 per unit.
In any case, Google I/O 2013 kicks off on May 15th and it will surely be an interesting event.
