As expected, Club 3D has announced the launch of the new Radeon HD 7990, code name Malta, graphics card neatly packed in their own box. In case you missed it, the new AMD Radeon HD 7990 flagship graphics card is based on two 28nm Tahiti GPUs working next to each other on the same PCB in Crossfire mode.
As noted earlier, since it is based on the reference design, Club 3D HD 7990 graphics card works at 950MHz base and 1000MHz boost clock for GPUs and features a total of 6GB of GDDR5 memory (3GB per GPU) clocked at 6GHz and paired up with a 384-bit memory interface (for each GPU). Based on AMD's GCN architecture, the Radeon HD 7990 Malta features 64 compute units for a total of 4096 stream processors (2048 per GPU). Since Club 3D was one of the partners that went with the launch Radeon HD 7990 New Zealand graphics card, the new one will be known under the CGAX-7999XT model name.
In case you missed it, the new Radeon HD 7990 features dual-slot, triple-fan cooler with 80mm low noise fan blade design combined with high-performance heatpipes and a full cover backplate. The new Radeon HD 7990 comes with four DisplayPort and single DVI output and Club 3D offers its Multi Stream Transport MST Hub as an optional accessory in case you want to switch those DisplayPort outputs to VGA, DVI or HDMI.
In order to make it a bit more appealing to those with deeper pockets, AMD bundles the Radeon HD 7990 Malta with no less than eight free games, including Crysis 3 Hunter Edition, Bioshock: Infinite, Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution, Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Deus Ex: Human Evolution, and Sleeping Dogs titles.
