Club3D updates adapters and cables

Ready for DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b

After several years we are finally starting to see high resolutions and high refresh rates together inside displays. If on the display side we have finally reached a good point, on the cable one you might still have some issue picking up the right cable. Although there is a standard, finding the right cable for our display can be a bit confusing.

Club3D has announced a whole set of cables and adapters compatible with new standards. With the CAC-1080 and CAC-1180, the company offers a couple of new adapters compatible with DP8K. The main difference between this two adapters is the male connector used. While the CAC-1080 comes with male DisplayPort connector, the CAC-1180 uses a Mini-DisplayPort. Both adapters conver a DisplayPort 1.4 signal into HDMI 2.0b.

Furthermore they can run a single display with a resolution of 4096x2160 resolution at a 60 Hz refresh rate. According to the company, both adapters can convert any valid signal within their 5.4Gbps maximum link rate. Club3D claims that its existing DisplayPort 1.4 cables are already compatible with VESA certifications. For example with one of the HBR3-capable cables you can run a 60Hz 7680x4320 signal (or 120Hz 3840x2160 signal) on a single cable.

All the adapters as well as cables should be already available.
