A couple of days ago we have receive a small ASRock motherboard based on Intel Z370 chipset. Compared to the previous model, the Z370M-ITX/ac is very similar. ASRock has changed the color scheme and updated the motherboard with the new chipset. The motherboard comes with an attractive price tag and targets the mid-range market.
The Z370M-ITX/ac is based on a mini-ITX form factor with two DDR4 DIMM slots. On the storage side we find one M.2 slot, four SATA ports and several USB ports. Looking at expansion slots there is one PCIe Gen 3.0 x16 slot without metal reinforcement. Since this motherboard isn't specifically designed for overclockers, you won't find any debug LED or onboard buttons for that particular purpose.
Looking for additional features we find USB 3.1 ports internally and externally, two Intel LAN ports and a good mix of connectors at the I/O panel. There is a Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac module that also supports Bluetooth v4.1.
At first glance this is certainly a good looking motherboard and on Geizhals it is listed for 130 Euro. During the upcoming days we are going to test this motherboard with our Intel Core i7-8700K and update our motherboard charts.
