Intel Core i7-8809G spotted online

Featuring RX Vega IGP

Last year, Intel and AMD made its rumored collaboration official, with Intel announcing that the upcoming Core-H series processors would be paired with graphics from AMD. Although things have been keep quiet, Intel has now listed the specs for its Core i7-8809G processor based on RX Vega IGP.


The Intel Core i7-8809G is a quad-core processor and it's listed as "unlocked" processors on Intel's official website. According to the list, the upcoming Core i7-8809G will feature a TDP that is right between the Core i5-7640X and the Core i7-8700K. Since the Intel Core-X series comes with 112 watts TDP and the Core i7-8700K sports 95W TDP, the upcoming Core i7-8809G should have a TDP close to 100W.

Furthermore, the Core i7-8809G will pack four cores and eight threads and will support dual channel DDR4 memory up to DDR4-2400. Speaking about graphics, the upcoming Intel CPU will pack two IGP one from Intel and another from AMD. According the latest rumors, the Core i7-8809G should comes with an Intel HD Graphics 630 and a Radeon RX Vega M GH chip. At this time there isn't informations on the RX Vega chip, but it's supposed to offer great performance.
