According to a recent presentation, AMD should unveil Ryzen 2 during Q1 2018 between January and March. The upcoming series is known as the "2000 series", in other words the Ryzen 7 1800X will be bumped up to the Ryzen 7 2800X, the 1700X will be replace by the 2700X and so on. These processors will be based on the 12nm process node and according latest rumors we should expect new Ryzen 7 chips in late February, followed by Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3.
Regarding the improvements we should expect support for higher DDR4 RAM frequencies and slightly higher clock speeds. The upcoming Ryzen Zen+ processors should fight against Intel Coffee Lake chips and Intel is going to release a new generation of Coffee Lake chips during the first half of 2018.
