Acer announced the ProDesigner PE320QK monitor for photographers, which features a 31-inch panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution and IPS panel. Apart from that Acer states that the panel used covers 95% of the DCI-P3 standard and 130% in the case of the sRGB profile.

Apparently the Acer ProDesigner PE320QK is no small display. Being equipped with a 31-inch panel the dimensions are 744 x 465mm (width x height). Checking on the viewing angle we find the IPS typical 178/178 degrees. The refresh rate is set to 60Hz with a response time, GTG, of 4ms, which is also on an expected level. According to Acer, the ProDesigner PE320QK represents the company's flagship photographer monitor, offering wide color gamut.

There is one DisplayPort 1.2 connector, two HDMI 2.0 ports and one USB 3.1 which offers video and data connectivity. According to Acer, the display comes with a contrast ratio of 100'000'000:1 and 350 cd/m2 brightness. Since this isn't a gaming monitor, you will not find support for either FreeSync or G-Sync. On top of the convincing specs there is a very well-built thin frame, which allows for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment. Furthermore it is compatible with VESA mounts making this display ideal for multi-monitor configurations if required.

The new Acer ProDesigner PE320QK should be soon available for $1200 US.
