FSP has introduced its new Hydro GE series of power supply units, which are going to be available with 450W, 550W and 650W of output power, feature modular design as well as a 5-year warranty plan and 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating.


FSP has been quite active lately, releasing one PSU line after the other. Now the company has introduced the Hydro GE line, which consists of three members with capacities ranging from 450W to 750W. The FSP Hydro GE series lineup features fully modular cable management and a multi +12V rail design with DC-to-DC switching, active PFC, all the usual protections as well as an 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating. The lineup will be cooled by a new 135mm bottom placed fan, which runs passive below certain load levels.

As mentioned before, these new PSUs will come with 450W, 550W and 650W of output power. They will be equipped with up to foru 6+2-pin PCIe power connectors, twelve SATA power connectors and the standard 24-pin cable. Furthermore there is one 4-pin CPU and one 8-pin EPS power cable.

All units will measure 170mm in length, which quite a bit longer than your usual ATX form factor. Unfortunately, FSP did not reveal any details regarding the price but did note that these should be available soon and backed by a 5-year warranty plan.
