According to a news published on Techpowerup, EK Water Blocks have had an estrangement from the majority of their top management including their CEO of over four years. This is an important change that can affect the PC DIY water cooling market due to the strong presence of the company in this envirorment.
According the latest rumors and informations, Mark Tanko (the CEO), Niko Tivadar (the CTO) and Andrej P. Škraba (the Head of Marketing), they are all no longer affiliated with EKWB and they provided a statement. The top management confirmed that there has been a leadership change at EKWB and that they left the company. Edvard König, the founder of the company, has confirmed that he is acting as the CEO with support from all the other employees that didn't leave the company.
So what will change in EKWB? At the moment everything will follow the project plans, however we can expect some delay in product launches due to the staff change. According to EKWB, during the next few weeks we should see some interesting products like: EK-KIT A240R (Fluid Gaming expansion kit compatible with Vega graphics cards), EK-AC Radeon Vega (full cover water block for upcoming custom Vega GPUs), EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink (available in different colors), EK-FB ASRock X299 RGB Monoblock (compatible with 5 motherboards) and several full cover water blocks for AMD X399 motherboards.
However the reason for this split up and the specific differences between these two teams are still unclear. We will surely keep an eye on it.
