Acer has expanded its monitor lineup once again with a new model featuring a 31.5-inch, 3840 x 2160 resolution and an VA panel. Furthermore it supports AMD FreeSync and Acer's so called "Black Boost" feature, which can automatically boost the gamma value and therefore make dark scenarios in games better visible.
As we already mentioned the ET322QKwmiipx monitor has been equipped with a 31.5-inch panel and 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution. There are two DisplayPort 1.2 connectors and two HDMI 2.2 ports which are compatible with HDCP2.2. According to Acer, the display comes with a contrast ratio of 3'000:1 and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Acer is marketing this display for gamers, due to the low refresh time set to 4 ms and the Freesync support.
In addition it should be HDR10 compatible. However since a typical HDR display hits 1'000 cd/m2 brightness, the Acer ET322QKwmiipx only achieves 300 cd/m2 maximum brightness which for HDR is too low. Apart from that there is a very well-built thin frame, which allows for pan, tilt, swivel and height adjustment. Furthermore it is compatible with VESA mounts making this display ideal for wall mounting.
The Acer ET322QKwmiipx display comes with an MSRP of $489 US and is already available in Japan.
