Earlier this week Intel has announced their Coffee Lake series of processors and next week the processors alongside with the motherboards should become available. Following Gigabyte, MSI now also unveils more informations on their motherboards. As we’ve mentioned several times already, the Z370 motherboards appear to be very similar to the Z270 models.



Apparently this board comes with an armada of features, such as three M.2 slots for example. Compared to the Z270 Godlike Gaming, which is the most high-end model in the case of MSI’s Z270 chipset based motherboards, they have changed almost nothing.

Looking at the picture, the MSI Z370 Godlike Gaming it’s based on an E-ATX form-factor and there are the usual four DIMM slots. Apart from that "Mystic Light" RGB lighting is supported, which allows for changing the illumination of the board from within Windows. There are four full-sized PCIe slots with steel reinforcements and one PCIe x1 slot. Between each full-sized PCIe slot there is a M.2 slot and all of them are covered with the MSI M.2 Shield which should help preventing thermal throttling of M.2 SSDs. The slots can hold a whole variety of M.2 drives and the longest of them can measure 110mm, complying with the 22110 standard.

In the case of SATA-III ports you'll find six angled ports. MSI has also added quite a few bells and whistles you might want for overclocking. Like on the Titanium series, there is a debug display as well as several onboard buttons.
